When we left Orlando, we were headed to St. Augustine for a couple of days. We stopped first at the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse and Museum in Ponce Inlet, FL, just 10 miles south of Daytona Beach. We came to Florida, once again, for HamCation, the 3 day Florida Amateur Radio Convention that is held every year at the Central Florida Fairgrounds in Orlando.  It is the 2nd largest Ham Radio event in the country (Dayton Hamvention in May is the largest in not only the US, but the World).   John is a commercial exhibitor and we drive to Florida with a trailer full of radio accessories to sell.  He is also a dealer for two other…

Florida 2018 – Georgia and Florida Welcome Centers

We travelled to Florida for Hamcation (Ham Radio Convention) once again. We took two days to drive down to Orlando, stopping for the first night in Dillon, SC (one exit down from South of the Border), as we did last year.
